A blog by Danielle van Versendaal, Neuroscience graduate student, initially meant to cover the events and lectures during the large Society for Neuroscience meeting in Washington (2011). Nowadays, I like to use this space to discuss new research in a way that closely resembles the way we talk science during our journal club.

Main topics are: the role of inhibition in brain development and plasticity, structure and function relationships in the brain, new developments in neurotechniques such as optogenetics and in vivo two-photon imaging.
